The Delta Wing fins of Maui Ultra Fins represent a completely new generation of fins which have been transferred from fighter type delta wing design to windsurfing applications.

Due to the unique features of a delta wing with

1. -  extremely short span combined with large area,
   

1. -  very thin foil with high stiffness and

the Delta Wing fin opens new areas of sailing applications:

First, really shallow water spots (e.g. tidal waters) which could not be sailed with conventional fins can now be used without any danger of breaking your fin or crashing thus damaging your body or your     equipment.

Secondly, also very weedy areas can be sailed. All weeds or obstacles will simply slip away due to the high rake of 55 degrees.

Furthermore, the thin foils make them very fast for high speed sailing and offers:

-good upwind performance due to vortices enhanced flow attachment up to high angles of attack,

-high agility due to the super short length, usable length is nearly half of a conventional slalom fin

-the high rake makes the fin very comfortable and controllable at high speeds

-jibing is easy without losing speed.
